After being gone for most of a decade, Amanda and I will be moving to New Orleans.
We have been wanting to move closer to home for a while now, and I have been offered an amazing opportunity at an awesome agency. I'm excited about the job & opportunities that it will bring, but I am most excited about being close to my family. I have spent FAR to long away from them, and missed out on entirely too much.
That being said, Amanda and I have been to a lot of amazing places, and made so many awesome friends. But, in the end, we are ready to move home.
To all my Louisiana people...love you guys, and see you soon! Get the gumbo ready.
Still love my Saints. Sad today, and beardless, but still proud of them. There are 20 teams that didn't even make the playoffs. I will take a competitive, playoff caliber team any day over having to suffer through what the Lions' fans have had to year in and year out. I would have loved our defense to be a little more competitive yesterday, but such is life. The Hawks played well, and we played poorly. That will get you beat every time. That's life in the NFL, and the frustrations of being a fan. We'll get it corrected, get healthy and make another run next year. I'm very excited about our young players (Robinson, Graham, Ivory, etc...), and I think with our veteran leadership and coaching, we are in pretty good shape for years to come. That's something we as Saints fans aren't used to. We aren't used to winning a Super Bowl. We aren't used to go to the playoffs in consecutive years. We are going to have to get used to being competitive and MAYBE NOT making the Super Bowl every year. But hey, that's better than watching a team full of poorly coached, poorly staffed, lovable losers for years to come. Last year was magical if you are a Saints fan. Hell, it was magical even if you WEREN'T a Saints fan. But overall, this season was a great season, and provided lots of good times. I'll take it. Bless you boys!
